About Lane Kasselman
Lane Kasselman is the President at Blockchain.com, where he has transformed the startup unicorn to a fast-growing multinational business.
Kasselman has spent over two decades consulting on business strategy, public policy, crisis strategy and communications for blue chip companies and startups, celebrities and influencers, political campaigns, public officials and nonprofits. Most recently, he founded and led crisis communications firm, Greenbrier, before it was acquired by The Messina Group. Before that, he ran communications and public affairs for Uber in the Americas and played a crucial role creating permanent regulatory frameworks for its products around the world. Prior to Uber, he worked as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs for AT&T and built the national model for winning regulatory and land-use campaigns in local markets.
From 20042007, Kasselman was Deputy Policy Director for San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, now California’s Governor. For the 2008 Presidential cycle, Kasselman handled communications for then-Senator Hillary Clintons Exploratory Committee for President. Kasselman is also a trusted counselor and investor to growing startups. He advises Lime, Firefly, and Strava and is a General Partner in Goldbriar Ventures, which advises early stage startups facing significant political, regulatory or public relations challenges and opportunities.
Kasselman holds degrees from California State University Sacramento and Golden Gate University School of Law. He lives in Texas with his wife and two children.
